Do you enjoy helping people? Are you a strong student academically? Are you looking for volunteer hours? PHS offers the opportunity for students to become peer tutors or mentors at the elementary, middle and high school levels. The purpose of peer tutors is to improve school performance of students and to improve the student’s attitude toward learning with the help of positive student role models. Peer tutoring/mentoring is a great way for students to give back to their school community and the volunteer time spent can help with scholarships and other post-high school plans. Please consider becoming a peer tutor/mentor for someone in your school community.
