Poynette Interscholastic Equestrian Team
We welcome students in grades 6-12, who are interested in joining Poynette's Equestrian team for the 2024-2025 school year.
The concept of showing as a team, instead of individually, makes it much more enjoyable for everyone.
The season for the equestrian team runs from Mid August to the beginning November. We do have team practices and you are encouraged to attend with your horse, location TBD. The classes include most disciplines: Western, English, Jumping and Gymkhana (speed). All classes have patterns (judged on the student and how well the student/horse shows as a team). There are no pleasure classes (judged on the horse). We compete in three shows (all in one weekend–one day is double judged) in Oshkosh at Sunny view Expo Center in September 27-29. If our team places 1st or 2nd in our division then we’ll compete at the state show in Madison October 25-27. Approximate Fees for the district show are as follows: $45 membership, $50 stall fee per horse, $75 show fee and $20 camping fee.
