The Math Team focuses on applying mathematical concepts and problem solving in challenging and thought-provoking situations. Being on the Math Team helps to build critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills while having fun competing against other schools! The Math Team not only participates in math meets, but also explores mathematics and other STEAM areas through field trips and activities. We compete in many meets throughout the year, including:
- Fall Conference Math Meet (held at PHS)
- Spring Conference Math Meet (held at a different school in the conference each year)
- Mathematics Association of America Math Meet (held at PHS)
- Wisconsin Mathematics Council Math Meet (held at PHS)
- UW Talent Search (Completed outside of school throughout the year)
