Jazz Club

Poynette High School Jazz Band

Jazz Band is available to all current high school band students. The focus is on teaching students advanced techniques in jazz and performance skills. Students are exposed to various aspects including jazz Improvisation, Rhythm, Harmony, and Style. Rehearsals take place during one or two advisory periods throughout the school year. The band showcases their talent 2-3 times annually and also participates in the WSMA District Solo Ensemble Festival.
