National Honor Society
The Pauquette Chapter of NHS is committed to the areas of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. This fall NHS is running three service drives. The first was a neighborhood food drive in October which raised over 1000 food items for local food pantries. The second is helping out the Salvation Army by ringing bells at Piggly Wiggly, and the third is the annual Free Community Book Exchange which will be held Tuesday, December 13th from 4-7pm. You can donate books at any of the schools or Piggly Wiggly between now and Dec. 12th. National Honor Society also facilitates three blood drives at the high school.

College Matters
College Matters is a program for high school juniors wanting to explore different types of colleges. Students get to hear about the admissions process from a panel of admission workers. They get to examine their different criteria for choosing a college. Students also get to hear from a panel of college freshman about the transition to college life and classes. If interested in attending, please see Mrs. Kennedy.
The Art of Writing
The Art of Writing is a workshop for young artists and authors at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Students peruse the artwork in the museum to make a personal connection to one of the pieces. They then use the inspiration from that piece to produce either a personal narrative or a sketch to be published in an anthology. In spring, students receive a copy of the anthology and are invited back to the Milwaukee Art Museum with their families to celebrate their published work.

The final round of the bowl, teams of three from each school will answer questions about current events. If interested in participating, please Mrs. Kennedy.
