School District of Poynette
We are very excited to share about our great schools and community! We offer wonderful opportunities for students to develop academically, artistically and athletically. Students may explore their talents through a variety athletic programs, co-curricular activities and many clubs, including forensics, drama and leadership clubs.
Our staff provides exemplary service to students with various needs, focusing on identifying needs early and then addressing them appropriately.
Our safe and friendly community encourages its students through attendance at events and financial support from our booster groups. We have many parents and community members who work in a variety of ways to help students be successful in and outside of school.

Student learning and achievement is at the core of everything we do in our district. The Mission of the School District of Poynette is to provide an education that treats each person as an individual. We will instill within each student the love of learning and foster self-esteem and civic responsibility. Our educational program will impart the necessary skills to excel in a changing and progressing society.
If the School District of Poynette is to become an exemplary school system, it must have a clear sense of the goals it is trying to accomplish and the characteristics of the schools it seeks to provide and the contributions that the various stakeholders in the district must make in order to transform these ideals into reality. The following vision statement is intended to provide the standards that the schools within the district should strive to achieve and maintain. This vision should serve as a blueprint for our improvement efforts and the benchmarks by which we will evaluate our progress.

A strategic plan was created during the 2022-23 school year with a committee that included all stakeholders: teachers, community members, administration and staff. (The full strategic plan is listed below.) The Strategic Plan outlines specific goals and action steps under the foundation of three important pillars. Together, this team created these three pillars of focus to guide the district's goal in becoming leaders in providing a positive, successful and safe environment for all. The pillars include a focus on the following items with fiscal stewardship in staffing, facilities and programming:
- Career, College and Life-Ready Graduates: Our academic and co-curricular programs will provide relevant and rigorous experiences that prepare our students for all aspects of successful living.
- Attract & Retain High Quality Staff: We will support the growth and health of our staff while honoring their deep commitment made to our students and community.
- Safe & Supportive Environment: Our schools will provide a mentally and physically safe school environment with an embedded positive school culture, in which all district stakeholders take great pride.

Strategic Plan 2022-2030
Our Strategic Plan centers around creating safe, supportive learning spaces for all of our students and our staff. The plan outlines the district's priorities, goals and action steps that will help to create the learning enviornments and working conditions to achieve student success.
