Girls volleyball is a popular team sport offered at the Middle School grades 7 - 8 in the fall season. Here's a quick rundown:

Teamwork: Six players are on the court at a time, relying on communication and cooperation to bump, set, and spike the ball over the net.
Basic Skills: Games focus on fundamental skills like passing, serving, and hitting.
Modified Rules: The rules might be slightly adjusted for a younger age group, such as a lower net height or rally scoring.
Focus on Fun: The emphasis is on learning the sport, developing teamwork, and having fun while getting exercise.

Middle School Volleyball

Start Date: Monday, August 26th
Coaches: Mr. Romero (8th grade): crome@poynette.k12.wi.us and Mrs. Graeve (7th grade): jgrae@poynette.k12.wi.us

Practice Schedule:
First week: August 26-28, 3:45-5:30
Starting September 3rd, 3:30-4:30 (Monday-Thursday)

Attendance: If a student can’t make practices until school starts, that’s fine. Once school starts, practices are required. Notify the coaches if a student will not be attending due to a prior commitment.
Game Schedule: There are 8 games this year. (Home and away) Bus transportation to/from away games are provided.

Requirements:
Grades: 7 & 8
Sign up during summer registration or using the online sign up through the District website under Middle School Athletics
A physical or alternate card must be on file at the middle school office by the first practice.
A sports fee must be paid to the school district by the first game.
