Poynette Elementary/Middle School New Construction Concept Drawings

Are you wondering what the new addition on the Poynette Elementary/Middle School will look like? The photos below detail the changes that will occur. The graphic shows the new space to be built on the south side of the 1-8 building. The picture below it shows a concept drawing of the outside of the building.

The office will be located as a street level access into the building. The former ramp to the receiving (into the custodial room on the lower level) area will be filled in. The entrance steps and ramp into the building have already been removed. The receiving area will be relocated to the East. The office will be constructed to require individuals go through the office when entering the building during school hours. In addition to the office construction there will be construction for the water remediation plan. The current office area will be remodeled to create a classroom. All areas will continue to be accessible and designed for energy efficiency.
